Statement of Faith
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ~ Romans 10:17
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. The Word of God teaches us God’s principle and how to live as Christians. I Thessalonians 2:13; II Peter 1:21; II Timothy 3:15-17; I John 2:7.
We believe in the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ and He is the Son of God as well as the Son of Man. He came to save mankind from sin by his blood that was offered for an atonement if man will accept and believe in him. Matthew 1:18-23; Matthew 9:6; Luke 1:30-31, 35; I Corinthians 15:3, John 3:16.
We believe in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered, died, was buried and rose again the third day and the only hope for redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ Our Lord. I Corinthians 1:13; Ephesians 1:7; I Corinthians 15:4,12-58; Romans 5:12-21, Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:12, 15.
We believe that man is in need of salvation. Man was created good and upright, for God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26-27). The first man Adam sinned and sin entered the world. The fall of man resulted in physical as well as spiritual death which is separation from God. Genesis 2:17; 3:6-24, Romans 5:12-19. However through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, redemption has been made possible. I Corinthians 15:21-22.
We believe in the one true and living God. The trinity Godhead is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost, who are eternally self-existent, self- revealed and function as one entity. God the Father, Jesus Christ (word), who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Ghost which is the third part of the Godhead. (I John 5:7)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and the indwelling of the Spirit as a changed life. Being filled with the Spirit enables the believer to live a Holy life according to the scriptures, Acts 1:8, 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:2,6; Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15-16.
We believe in Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. The believer is immersed in water. One should have repented of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ before such is administered. In so doing, the believer declares to the world that they have died and have been raised to walk in the newness of life. For water baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38, 10:47-48; Romans 6:3-4; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 3:21.
We believe in signs following the believers and laying on of hands as well as the gifts of Spirit being operated in the lives of the believer. We also believe in the five fold ministry. Ephesians 4:11-15; Mark 16:17-18; I Corinthians 12.
We believe in Divine healing and deliverance from unclean spirits. In addition we believe in the deliverance of the whole man: spiritually, mentally, physically, financially and socially. James 5:14-16; Acts 5:15-16; I Peter 2:24; Exodus 15:23-26; Psalm 103:1-3; Isaiah 53:4,5; Psalm 107:20.
We believe in Holy Communion which represents the body and blood of Jesus (Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:24-28.
We believe in tithes and offering. Malachi 3:8-10; Hebrews 7.
We believe in the outpouring of God’s Spirit upon all flesh. Acts 2:4,17-21; Joel 2:28.
We believe in the Resurrection of the church and the Second Coming of Jesus. I Thessalonians
4:13-18.
We believe that there is a final judgment. Those that are saved will receive everlasting life and the lost without Christ will receive everlasting damnation (Matthew 24:31-51; Acts 24:15; Revelation 19:11-16; 22:11-15). After this there shall be a new heaven and a new earth. Revelation 21.
